Whether you are a fan of thrillers, action or drama – we have a film recommendation for you! Here is your round-up of the top 5 best film releases in November 2018.
Creed II
Sport action fans will want to check out the follow-up to the 2015 Rocky spin-off Creed, a and stars Sylvester Stallone taking on the legendary role of Rocky Balboa once again. Creed II follows protagonist Adonis Creed as he trains for the fight of his life, against the son of the man who killed his own father in the ring. Blood proves thicker than water as Creed questions what is really worth fighting for.
Outlaw King
The Outlaw King depicts the life and battles fought by one of Scotland’s most famous Kings, Robert the Bruce. The film follows Bruce’s fight in the 14th century fight to claim the Scottish crown and independence from the occupying English army. If you like historical drama, medieval fight scenes, Braveheart and the beautiful, rugged Scottish landscape to top it off, put this on your to-watch list. Dodgy accents aside, it has the makings of a blockbuster.
Widows
A heist film with a difference – Widows focusses on the wives left behind by criminal husbands, killed in a botched assignment, to finish what their partners started. With an all-star cast with actors such as Viola Davis, Daniel Kaluuya, Colin Farrell and Michelle Rodriguez. The screenwriters are equally big names -with Steve McQueen (12 Years a Slave) and Gillian Flynn (Gone Girl) on production, we have high hopes that Widows will be as glossy and neo-noir as previous offerings from the pair.
Robin Hood
Taron Egerton stars as the skilled outlaw Robin Hood alongside Jamie Foxx’s Little John in a re-make of the centuries old tale of the man who rebels against corruption in his home land under the control of the English crown, stealing from the rich and giving to the poor. A timeless tale, re-worked with even more slick fight choreography.
Suspiria
A re-make of the 1977 classic Italian horror, Suspiria is both unnerving and entrancing, a story of unearthly covens held within the setting of a dance studio in divided Berlin. If your style of horror leans towards the supernatural and mysterious, Suspiria‘s blend of gothic tropes, gloomy spaces and more than a touch of the surreal should have you on the edge of your seat.
Halloween may have come and gone, but the Suspiria trailer has put us in the mood for something spooky! If you fancy a little more , check out our guide to the best horror films of all time.
